Feed affecting shell color

I heard today that the feed and percent of protein effects egg shell color. Like if you wanted a stronger blue to increase the amount of protein, any opinions?

That's an old wives tale, that I thought people didn't even believe anymore. Diet only affects the contents on the egg, shell color depends on the hen.
