Feed and Nutrition - help!

Ducklings need 100 mg of niacin daily so add the BY or NY to that feed. My ducklings loved the NY over their feed.

I actually have Bob's Red Mill nutritional yeast on hand from my daughter's attempt at being vegan at the start of quarantine. Will that work?

Thanks for the link! Makes me a little scared as a first timer. I hope they are strong and healthy so I don't screw things up if I have to administer by syringe!

If you are feeding them a formulated waterfowl feed and providing a niacin supplement over that you shouldn't have any problems, but it would still be wise to look out for those early on symptoms I mentioned in the thread.

How much should I put over their food? The package says there's 46mg/ 1/4c serving. I should mention we have 22 eggs with baluts incubating. Our surrogate says its not likely all of them will survive, but it's her fist time incubating ducks (she's done quail in the past).

I just sprinkled tablespoon over their cup of feed every time I gave them a cup. They will pee out what they don’t need.

Yes... I think... whatever you say! We bought eggs from a farm that sells them for food. We wanted no more than 5 ducks so he said we'd need 2 dozen to get that number because he doubted many would be fertilized. Turned out all but 2 were fertilized.
