just getting started. i currently have five layers and until this point have been feeding them feed from tsc ($12/50lbs). labeled everything they need to lay. it's right, i haven't supplemented and i've been getting eggs regularly. however i recently realized i can get 100lbs. of custom mix for layers at my local feed store for just under $17. shooooooo, what a difference. anyway my question. the feed is completely different in texture. should i be supplementing since i switched feed or does it typically have everything they need in it? i'm really diggin my own eggs. i'm looking forward to getting more next spring and also some broilers. thanks for all the advice.

Are both feeds layer feed??

yes. they are both layer feeds. i'll check with my feed store to make sure.

the big difference is the packaging...the feed store will put it in oe sack that has no color and is plain...the TSC has a pretty bag with lots of color and pictures...couple $ different in bag alone...if we had a mill around here that is what I would do...we just store it and ship it around here...no processing...except at the feedlots!
