Hi, is it OK to feed Chicks Grower feed from the start? I use Seedhouse Grower for all my pullets, layers and roosters. But do I switch them all to chick starter when I have chicks hatch or have everyone on Grower?
I use Seedhouse brand, both are micro crushed grain Musli mix and have natural anti cocci ok for eating eggs, Starter has 20% protein, Grower has 16% protein.
See pics for details.
Thanks!

Personally, I would switch the entire flock to the STARTER and leave them on it. IMO, 16% protein is the bare minimum. I feed 20% to the entire flock and have had no health or behavioral issues.

16% Protein is low for chicks under 6 weeks old.
18% is adequate and what I feed to all ages. Medicated for the first 10 weeks.
I like feeds with 18 to 20% Protein. A Non-Medicated Starter Grower or a All-Flock crumble with Oyster Shells separately for my pullets and hens. 20200827_062015.jpg .
I have 2 year old Barred Rocks,

and 17 weeks old ISA Browns at POL, waiting for that first egg.
A couple have been checking out the nest boxes.
