feed cost

Has any body found a cheaper feed oe mixed different stuff together that still makes chickens lay good? The best i could come up with was 100 pounds of cracked corn, 100 pounds of poultry layer, 50 pounds of oats and 50 pounds of wheat all mixed together.

My hubby uses poultry layer, soaked and sprouted oats - about 40% and just a sprinkling of sunflower seeds.

Also he uses P & P feed - pride and pleasure - seems to be the lowest cost in our area. N

all i use is laying mash but its fresh made daily i get it from the feed mill near us best stuff to me..
