Feed for turkeys

I have chickens and turkeys together and my turkeys I just got are laying soft eggs. We have two of them with 12 chickens. I give them oyster shells with there food everyday. I feed them all flock feed and scratch grain for treats. I just am wondering if any of you turkey lovers out there know how to help them have normal shells.

Are you mixing the oyster shells in with their food or in a separate container?
If you just got them, how ling have you had them?

I mix them and I got them about 3 weeks ago and they are 2 years old
