Feed Help

I would like to know about best evee feed routine, for both laying & Exhibition purpose ..
P.S
I m giving a raw boiled egg daily to my Chicks, boiled rice & poultry feed ..
If you have a complete poultry feed available that would be the best thing.
Rice is very low in protein. The daily egg is a good thing because it has most of the nutrients that chickens need.

Hi so sorry late to respond. I use Purina or Dumoors 16% egg layer pellets for my layers mixed with grit and crushed oyster shells along with scratch from a local company and black oil sunflower seeds-I make a batch in a huge trashcan. They also get canned peas as a treat to help with niacin and Poultry Cell in their water for ADEK fat soluble vitamins 2x per week. For my showbirds (seramas) I use the same brands but in crumble and dont add the scratch or sunflowers. Chicks only get medicated Purina chick starter with chick grit and nutradrench in their water (2x per week) for the first 6 weeks. When I am breeding, I up the poultry cell to 4x per week in water and a bit crushed oyster shell. 10 days before a show, I change their feed to their feed to the 24% chick starter with grit and give them a straight dropper of fat soluble vitamins the day before the show for feather quality. i try not to give egg too often because I dont want to encourage egg eating. And they get mealworms as their treats. I know its slightly complicated but it seems to be working well for me so far. Hope this helps!
