Feed Help

HI! I will be getting some baby ducks most likely runners or Perkins for show. There are a lot of different things about feeding baby ducklings and I have some questions. Should I feed the baby ducks Purina flock raiser or Purina chick starter? do I have to add anything to their food? and any other feeding tips would be great! Also, when do you switch them to adult food?

If you can get flock raiser in crumble it really is the best. If you get Pekins because they grow super fast I would still supplement with some form of Niacin I rec Nutritional yeast [not baking yeast] 1 Tab per cup of feed til 10 weeks old. The Runners can benefit from the NY also.

If you start them off on Purina Flock raiser they will never have to go on a different feed unless you want to switch to layer when they are old enough around 18-20 weeks but most of us just supplement the FR with Oyster shell on the side and layers eat it as needed.
