So I've been reading and reading about feed prices. And it seems like the lost value can be found if the feed is bought directly from a feed mill.

So here's my question. How do you get in touch with a feed mill? I know there's a Mountaire feed mill about an hour north of me, but would they be the type of feed mill I'm looking for?

Thanks!

You would have to call them.

Feed mills can be a great deal. Theres one about an hour north of me that I was just told about; apparently chick starter (non-medicated) is $8.50 per 50#, when Im paying 12.00 per 50# here in town. I may make a trip up there when it cools off, so I can buy enough to make it worth my while without it spoiling.

Well then I shall add on to my question. Anyone in the Eastern Shore area know of a good feed mill to use?
