I was reading the Mcmurray catalog and they suggest feeding newborns an additive called Glo-gel Plus. It has microorganisms .
They state that it helps build immune system and helps in digestion.

Could you feed small amounts of yogurt and accomplish the same thing ?

Any thoughts on this ? Would love to here from you.

MissPrissy's homemade yogurt is perfect for them! My chicks and chickens have always liked her recipe better than the yogurt from the store. Just FYI!

Yes! I mix it in with scratch, dandelion greens and chives. SMALL amount of greens at first cut VERY fine!

Until what age to all of you give your chickens yogurt? I wonder if they are free range, do they really need it for digestion? My chickens get plenty of grass so I'm wondering if that + scratch+oyster shell + crumble is enough to keep my lil gals happy and healthy?

Chickens love yogurt at any age. It's messy but good for them.

yogurt provides protien and digestive enzymes if you buy or make the kind with live cultures.

I feed my adult chickens yogurt at least once a week.

It's pretty easy and inexpensive to make.
