Feed question when intergrating flocks

I have 6 8wk old chicks that I am starting to integrate into the original older flock. Question is how do you handle the different feed? Older hens on layer, I cannot have the chicks on layers its too soon. How do I separate the food so the chicks eat the starter/grower and the hens eat the layer

Put the whole flock on an all-flock feed like Purina flockraiser. Feed the hens free-choice supplemental oyster shell for the calcium they usually get from the layer feed.
