I was getting mash for my chickens but they were making a mess with it so I switched to pellets. I mixed them until I ran out of the mash but they don't seem to be eating the pellets. What should I do? Will the eventually get used to the pellets?

You can eliminate the mess with mash by making it a little damp. This sort of "glues" it together in a kind of porridge that the birds seem to like very much. Pellets take their time adjusting to pellets.

Personally, I don't like mixing different kinds of feed. They just seem to pick thru and toss aside what they don't prefer.
