Where do you store your feed? I just brought home 150# of feed and have no clue where to put it now! 3 different types of feed for 3 types of animals 50# bags!

A cool, dry place is best.

I don't "stock pile" feed too awful far in advance. I know some folks are concerned about further price increases, but I really prefer fresh feed. On rare occasion, I've had some specialty feeds get a bit of mold on the bottom of the bag. When that happens, you just have to dump it.

I use airtight storage bins. I can't recall the name of the company but I can look tomorrow if you need the information. They keep it clean fresh and they have lasted for over a decade though I'm certain they're still available. I hope this helps.

I can fit 150 lb. of chicken feed in a 30 gallon galvanized garbage can which I keep in a shaded barn (no sun or rain every hits it.) Be sure and shake the can a bit to settle each bag before adding the next.

Shady as well. Nobody wants all the nutrients destroyed.

I don't stock up as well. Chicken feed that is over a month old isn't good. My chickens know stale and old too.

I use air tight containers because of past rat and mice problems in my big old feed shed.
