Went to N40 picked up extra chicks while out. I am hatching chicks at home, but wanted a few extra. I bought 5.

Sassy was the weakest. I chose all the others for being active., when they get home, they will get egg yolk water.she was the last in her group. I could not leave her.

Got home everyone got 6 sips of egg yolk water. Sassy (who is not sassy, I just gave her that name to encourage strength,) got 10 sips, later 10 more. Their water had electrolytes and they knew how to drink.

I was hopeful but she was gone by AM.
The good news is I put a few of the chicks I am hatching in with the ones I bought. I am glad I bought some, my hatch (from feed store fridge- didn't go great, ) But now I will have a fun little group.
