Feed Store said "Golden Laced Wyandotte" looks like road island red chick. ??????????? HELP

Adorable, but as others said not Wyandottes. I have a couple of golden-laced that look completely different from that!

They look nothing like Wyandottes. There is no such thing as a red Wyandotte anyway, certainly not in the United States, if there are. They are Production Red/RIR chicks, as previously stated, no question whatsoever with single combs.

ETA: yes, if they have a different comb, something else, but not Wyandottes with that color.

Thanks everyone. Just found out they are "Buckeye" chicks.Taking them back now...

Those are Production Red or hatchery type RIR chicks for sure, not Wyandottes.

Since you're getting them from a feed store who gets them from some hatchery, I can tell you that they do not have any Ameraucanas-they will be Easter Eggers. Unfortunately, they may lay brown and not blue or green, since EEs are of mixed genetics.

Hey, good eye on that comb, Stephanie. It whooshed right by me the first time I looked.

So excited! We got our little Gold Laced Wyandottes! Pics soon to come! Thanks everyone for your feedback! I don't know how this little slip up happened but it's fixed now... Hopefully the little Buckeyes will find a good home. Feed store took them back and exchanged them for us...

Here is one of our new Golden Laced Wyandotte!

Now I know this little girl is "Golden Laced Wyandotte" for sure! haha
