Was by my local feed store today and they have turkey poults in. At first I was tempted to get a couple till I seen the price, $12.00 each! Is that the going price for them?

Whoa Nelly!!! I got my heritage breed Bourbons for 4.99!!! Which admittedly is very low as they were using the poultry sales as loss leaders to get people in to buy the other supplies they would need but I don't think you should pay much over 8 or 9 bucks for a heritage breed and less than that for the broad breasted turks.

Heritage poults are going for 8-12 dollars depending on type of turkey. The eastern wilds and chocolates seem to be going at a higher price then the others.
