Feed with insect protein but not animal protein...??

Here's a silly question, but I am new to raising poultry:

Does anyone know where I can find feed that contains insects but NOT animal protein? Fish and insects are alright but I don't want my quail eating chicken protein or whatever. Please show me where I can find this online, as I do not have any feed stores close to where I live.

Never heard of feed that contains insect protein.....

There are lots of feeds that don't contain animal proteins.

What about a feed that contains only fish meal as the sources protein/B12 with maybe some soy? Does such a thing exist?

Why does this matter to you? All feed had insects in it. Just leave you bag of corn mill in a worm place for a few months & see how many bugs craw out of it. Your quail need animal proteins tho so why the concern? I feed my chickens the left overs from our chicken dinners. It seems to be their favorite meal.

Another way to add protein would be to hard boil eggs and mash them shell and all and feed them to your quail.

You could get a vegetarian feed and either mix in some meal worms or fish meal to bump protein if necessary, that or supplement with meal worms or whatever if you need more protein...
