I keep ordering the wrong quail feed. Can I mix?

Oh, I guess I missed the part about it being medicated. I don't use medicated feeds for my quail. Medication is usually dosed for chickens, and not necessarily good for quail.
Tbf I'm not sure if OP mentioned medicated. I added that comment in because I've discovered most starter chick crumb for quail is medicated in the UK. So far my experience with grower and layer feeds is that not all feed is medicated but some are. I'll need to find a starter crumb that isn't medicated, then write a post about what brands are medicated and what brands aren't.

I never looked into quail feed, since I only keep chickens. Quail would escape my facilities, so that is reason for me not having them.
Now to medicated feed. Have only seen as starter chicken feed. It is medicated for control of coccidiosis. Usually comes in small bags. Once you use that quantity up, then you switch to non medicated starter feed.
Peeps usually transition to layer feed once egg production starts.

This is what I observed here in the USA, at feed stores.
