I feed my chickens watermelon and they went crazy. They absolutely love it. I highly suggest it.

Yes, watermelon, grapes, cantaloupe, and cucumbers are my chickens favorite treats.

If you freeze them, they make a great coo, down treat! Same with most fruits!!! I use large yogurt containers, toss in scraps, cover in water and freeze. When it's time to use them, i run hot water on the outside of the container to loosen it up SO FUN TO WATCH!

Watermelon is my girls favorite treat. I havent given it to them in a few weeks and they are now 9 weeks old. I went out and gave them one piece to share and they went completely ape ****...it was so much excitment it was nearly aggressive and kind of intense. Anyone have any ideas or why? Is this normal?
