Thanks! I think we'll try and move her when/if she goes broody, and if that doesn't work we'll incubate.

Can anyone give ideas on how to make her comfy? Should I put a box in for the eggs, or put them directly on the floor? I have two possible locations- a small coop like place where my ducklings are being housed(but only if the ducklings move out first) or under our porch, which is a big room with a dirt floor. I would prefer the first because it's closer to her current nest, but we'll see. I guess what I'm asking is for all those who have successfully moved their broody ducks to give any advice.

Or even those who've had ducks that successfully hatched ducklings.

A box with hay or straw, a dog house in the corner of another building, just somewhere she can still lay eggs at and be locked up over night and safe as well.

I was going to wait until she went broody to move her, but would it be better to do it now? There are 6 eggs in her nest.
