This is my first post im new to the site. I have 4 production reds that are about three weeks old im feeding them dumor chick starter and grower. Also as of wendsday i will have 3 cinnamon queens. the queens are one year old. i was planning to get the dumor chicken feed. i like the protein in dumor chick starter but are there any suggestions on feed. i have the local feed store that basically has house brand and i also have tractor suppy.

I assume you'll have the two groups of birds separated? They can both eat the Chick Start and Grow, but the young chicks should not eat the Dumor Layer feed. Hope that makes sense.

Layer feed contains a high level of calcium that is harmful for non laying, young birds.

DuMor is TSC's house brand and is made for them by Purina in most parts of the country.

Agreed.
The little chicks need the higher protein level since they will be growing like little weeds.
The 1 yr old birds would get fat on the high protein chick starter and not get the calcium they need for laying. Don't forget a little grit for the older girls if they are always penned up!
