I have been feeding nothing but layers pellets to my hens and roo. I heard today that it isn't good to feed them this all the time??? I also have to full blood Serama bantys and I kinda want to show them, If I switch my feed to Dumor Winning Show feed will I get good egg production from my hens and will the feed make my Serama's any prettier or make a difference?? Also if you all have any info on the Seramas and showing please share as I know little about this chicken Breed Thank you all!!!

It is medicated and intended, apparently, for feeding to growing chicks and poultry.
I'm not sure I'd want to feed medicated feed to my hens.

If you want to spice up your hens diet and provide them some variety, try Flock Raiser every other day, or even a non medicated Starter with 24% protein. It would be better if this kind of supplemental or variety feed had animal protein, but those are becoming harder to find. Most GameBird Grower still contains animal protein, but you'll have to read the labels carefully to see if it does.

It does not hurt to feed a bit of variety. However, you'd likely want to offer a calcium source, on the side, as many of these alternative feeds do not provide the high calcium level of a Layer formula.
