Thought I'd share these pictures of my 5 barred rocks. Top pict is when I first
got the girls (here they are less than a week old) 2nd pict is at 4 weeks (today).

Fun to see how fast they grow.

They enjoy that dual purpose "feeder/perch"

You might try putting a little perch in there for them that's a little higher than the feeder. Might keep some poop out of the feed.

There is a perch in the cage which 3 of them have been getting up on to.
I have the cage in the 5 foot kiddie pool. The cage is what the coop would
be .... the pool, the run. I'm planning on putting them all out into the
"real coop/run" this weekend. They all still seem to like perching on that
feeder though :)

Mine would fight for who got to perch on top of the mason jar feeder and the waterer.

I finally made them a perch to put in their kiddie pool brooder, which at least gave the "lower in the pecking order" chicks a place to go.

Mine would hop on the tall water feeder, then hop right on the edge of the brooder, and perch there. The only problem was that the brooder was in my room, and you never knew what side their puffy bottoms would point to xD
