I use a round metal feed tray to feed my small flock and am getting tired of the gals getting in there and either scratching it out, or just beaking it out in general.
I was thinking I could just get out my angle grinder and cut a piece of 1/2" hardware cloth to fit over the top of the feed. My concern is that could result in a potential for injury. Option #2 might be better, get a lid for a 5 gallon bucket and drill out 1/2" holes.
Opinions?
