Feeder options

I am trying to decide on a different feeder. Even on bricks, my gravity feeder gets so much bedding in it. I think a port feeder could be a good option but most have just one or two ports and I have nine girls. It seems like they will fight over who gets to eat NOW. What feeder do you like for less waste and a mid size flock?

Can you hang your feeder up higher than it's practical to use bricks for?

Or move it into the run, perhaps in a shelter of it's own?

The design is fantastic! I use it in my covered run, and it greatly reduces waste. Haven't used it in a coop, but I'd imagine that it would help prevent shavings as well. I actually made my own with a bucket and some PVC pipe, but I used the photos from that listing as a guide.

I dragged have it hung because bricks seem to get covered in poop.

One of the advantages of the shelter in that photo is that the top of the feeder is too close to the roof for the chickens to perch on top of it.
