feeder size?

I have five chickens. I would like to know what size hanging feeder I should use - I would ideally like for their feed to last for at least a week. Is it safe to have feed in the feeder for that long?

I always go with the largest feeder I can put together so I don't have to fill it up quite so often.

Personally, I don't like putting out more feed that can be consumed in about a day. I'm too worried about mold and other kinds of contamination. I keep the feed indoors in one of those vittles vaults with a tight fitting lid. Every morning when I go out to let the flock out I just bring that day's rations with me. It's an easy routine.
