Our babies are a week old today. We have been putting crumbles on paper towels that we use for bedding. Poop mixes with crumbles. I am also afraid they run out of food. Can I now use a feeder?

Yes, after a couple of days I put a feeder placed on a small piece of 2 x 4 (to keep pine shavings from getting in feeder). They will do fine.

Absolutely and then at about 2 weeks you can put something under there water to lift it off the floor about 1 inch to keep theme from pooing in it

Good luck and have with tour new peeps

I put in feeders on day one and also sprinkled crumbles on paper towels and within an hour they had figured out the feeders and I removed the towels on day 2. You don't want them in their too long because the towels can be slippery and can cause leg problems. As far as I've read, you only put the food on the towels to get them to find the food and as soon as they've found it, you don't need them anymore.
