I see these hanging feeders and others but what happens when it rains or snows?? I know they have covers but how good do they work? Do you put it up inside? But obviosly not if you are at work and a storm rolls in right? Just curious. It seemed like the feed would get ruined in the rain.

Even though I live in a dry climate it can be quite windy here. So I just keep the food and water in the coop. I feed their greens and any treats out in the run to encourage them to spend more time outside.

I keep both in the coop. I do add a waterer outside, when it is not freezing and they are spending more time out there...

I keep my feeder in the coop. If I didn't I'd be feeding alot of sparrows. Treats I feed outside.
I have water available inside and out.

I really dont want to put it inside cause it will take up valuable space. Water can stay outside no problems. Just the feed I am not sure. Any other experiances?
