Hi can anyone advise me as to why over the past few weeks my emporer feeder has started to clog? I use layers pellets and oyster shell it never use to vlog?

Hi ..... I am a complete newby to forums!
I haven't changed anything , the lid s extremely hard to push down and sometimes i get it completely shut sometimes i dont, but the feeder is under shelter? I have to squeeze my finger under the feeder to encourage the feed down , it flows down freely but when i check it a couple of hours later the dish is empty and the feed has clogged!
