Warmer weather is upon us and today we took the step the integrate the 6 week old ducklings with our 2 year old girls living outside. They took to one another surprisingly well after a few days of behind the fence meet and greets and we've decided to put the ducklings outside on a permanent basis (as long as everything keeps going well.)

Wondering how to handle feeding a mixed flock. The littles are still on their duckling crumble and the big girls are on layer pellets. I see the bag suggests we keep the ducklings on the starter grower crumbles for another 2 weeks before changing them over to layer pellets. Any advice? It's only 4 ducks (2 ducklings and 2 adults) and both sets are used to having food always available.

We are doing a fire in the fire pit to spend a little longer outside because I’m being a nervous mama. D21C2606-3EF3-4005-B4CB-259B083A48AF.jpeg
Sorry about the sideways photo. Those are the little girls bullying the big ducks away from the water dish. And I was worried

All Flock or Flock Raiser Feed will work, just provide a calcium source on the side once they are close to point of lay.
