feeding baby chicks

Corn bread is a lot of sugar and empty calories. It's kinda like those parents that give their babies juice in their bottles...it's pretty bad for the baby for the same reason. It also may start a bad habit of them wanting junk food. How young are the chicks that you want to treat anyway? Under a month?

Scrambled egg and mealworms are great treats for little chicks. In moderation and make sure you provide grit (clean sand sprinkled over their food is o.k. for small chicks). Things like a little cornbread won't hurt, it's not very good for them and should be fed in tiny amounts and not often.

By the way, welcome to the forum! :)
