I have had chickens for a few years, but now going to breed wyandottes, These are not from a hatchery or for production. My lines are coming from Jerry Foley. I know most feed a 18% protein processed feed, But with all the recalls and such, I am just buying from the minonites, it is a 14% feed, and has oystershell, oats, cracked corn, wheat, and etc.
My neighbor intoduced this feed after she accidently stunted the growth of her cornish. After feeding this feed, you could see an incredible change in them within a half month. She feeds them nothing but this feed, and they do lay good.
But my question is. What would be better to feed them?
Should I just keep feeding this?
I know this is a newbie kind of question, but I am paying so much for the stock and feed( prices going higher) I want the best I can get out of them.
Thanks ahead of time!
