Feeding Chickens Crackers

I am just curious, is it ok that I feed my chickens crackers two or three times a day. i just cant resist. They all come running to me and jump in my lap every time I go outside. But is it healthy?

I feed my girls crackers sometimes, but you have to be careful, because sometimes the crackers have a lot of salt ( sodium ) and too much salt is not good for them. But you can always give them crackers as a treat!

Crackers are fine for chickens, but as stated above, check the salt content first! My chickens don't really go for them unless I wet them with a little water to soften.

anything under the sun! They will eat anything. Just don't feed them potatoes or citrus, which have something poisonous in them for the chickens. My chickens favorite is raisins! They LOVE them. They'll even do little 'tricks' for them.

what kind of tricks? i used to make my old rooster hop!

I feed my girls anything, it goes into the compost and they pick through it. They love crackers, cereal and today they ate a whole jar of expired sport peppers. Gobbled them up like they were nothing
