feeding chickens egg shells

i feed my eggshells back to the birds, they get it mixed back into their layer mash.

I crush the shells up as well, and add to their treats during the week. I wash them, and air dry them, and smash them into bits. I never have had an issue with egg eating cos of this. I just make sure they don't LOOK like eggs and it seems to be good
