feeding chickens leftover deer protien????

hello everyone!
i was wondering about feeding my chickens leftover deer feeder protien -- we put out bunches of deer feed, and the leftover powder/tiny bits would make great chicken feed if it is alright to feed them. i have 4 week old chicks right now...can they eat it too? if anyone could help with this it would be greatly appreciated!

I know chickens will eat leftover deer...

I seriously have found very little a chicken won't eat (bindweed and squash bugs are on the reject list). You may wish to wait until the chicks are eating grit with their food before introducing "exotic" foodstuffs.
