This may sound like a dumb question but, how do you guys feed wet mash? I usually fill a 50 lb feeder with dry layer mash and that lasts about two weeks for 14 chickens. I have noticed though that they will dump most of it on the bottom of the coop almost right away and I'm worried they are wasting it. I have wet their mash and put it in a large flat pan in the run area - and they love wet mash! The problem is I'm not sure how to feed them wet mash every day...what if I don't give them enough - or I give them too much and its moldy...do I have to feed them twice a day with wet mash? It's so much easier to feed them dry layer mash...LOL Oh, my chickens are all in great shape and laying very well, other than the one that has lost her back feathers...she's healthy otherwise so not sure what's up with that. I feed an organic feed with no corn, soy, or canola and they do really well with this, in fact I have heard from several friends that have chickens that mine all look really good - and my friends are very surprised although they don't feed the certified organic feed I do.
Sorry this is so long, just thought I'd give some context to my question(s).
