Everything and anything that we eat that doesn't kill us. Chickens have a wide and disgusting palate. Old veggies, raw meat, leftover turkey carcass on a sting kept them busy after thanksgiving. Food that we may consider undesirable but hasn't yet turned into a science experiment is fair game. And yes despite the contradictory advice given on the web, I have feed mine potatoes and tomatoes with no I'll effects. It's the vines that can't be fed to them because its one of those things that, by the way, can kill us if we eat enough of them.

I stick mostly to meat, like the meaty bones left from chickens/turkeys/pork chops, etc. Nothing too salty. I never feed lettuce. In the summer my dad will toss them garden scraps like busted tomatoes and cucumbers. Just never the greens from tomatoes or peppers. I don't encourage a lot of vegetable and fruit tossing since it drags down the protein content of their diet for the day. I'll toss them watermelon rinds when we have them, and pumpkin/squash guts.
