Can chickens eat corralberries and American Beauty berries without harming them?

I'm not familiar with either of these plants but I'm assuming that they are landscape rather than range plants.

Coralberries are listed on the UCDavis "Toxic Plants" webpage as one with "Minor Toxicity" for humans.

Neither show up on the ASPCA's website.

Notice that the list of plants is from "Reptile Keeper's Handbook." I don't know . . . it may be a fine list but,

Click on "home" for poultryhelp.com and learn that this poultry business is out of business. Checking web.archive.org shows that this out of business notice has been on that page since October 2007, that the business was in the process of being sold off in 2006!

If you want credible lists of toxic plants look at the UCDavis or the ASPCA sites linked above. Or, and especially if the plants you are interested in are range plants, look at:

Plants Poisonous to Livestock and other Animals, Cornell University
Poisonous Plants of the Southern United States, West Virginia University
Poisonous Range Plants of Temperate North America, Merck Vet Manual

I didn't know about all that. It was a site I was refered to last year when I was asking about toxic plants and stuff on this site.

Well, as I say - that list may be fine.

We are all just trying to help and not too many of us, including me, have a great deal of professional expertise.

The universities' animal science departments and vet schools are, at least, accountable.
