Feeding chicks of different ages

Though I initially planned on getting all day old chicks to start my chicken adventure, my local hatchery had the breeds I wanted just a few weeks a part so I went for it. I am not sure when to transition from starter to grower feed as they are all fed together.

The ages currently range from 4-8 weeks.

Any ideas? Should I start mixing in some grower feed in a week or two? Feed based on the youngest? Oldest?

Help!!!

Thanks,

If the starter is medicated with amprolium, I would keep them all on it til I switched to layer around 18 weeks. Otherwise, it probably doesn't matter. Check the labels; you may find they are essentially the same, other than the size of the pieces.

Thank you for the reply. I opted to use non-medicated starter feed.
