feeding chicks

M y chicks are only a weak old i am not near ready for giving them anything else than chick starter but where do you buy meal worms and other kinds of dif foods can you feed them crickets?

We get our mealworms and crickets from Petco.

Mealworms, crickets - Any bug is fine for chicks just as long as they're small enough for the chick to properly eat.

I'd safe it's safe to feed them mealworms by week one, if your really impatient. Make sure to include some chick grit once you offer mealworms. Mealworms have a thick exoskeleton with lots of chitin.

You can feed tiny grass clippings from wheat grass sprouts or nice tender lawn grass from day one!
