Feeding Diffrent ages of Chicken

It’s that time when the chicks are to big for the grow out coop and need to move in with the existing flock, but I have some questions. I have 5 adult egg laying chickens and I want to mix in 19, 12 week old chicks. What am I supposed to feed them? Do I put both foods in the coop? Do I put them chickens on the grower food? What do I do?

Put the all of them on grower food, and have oyster shell available separately for the big girl's calcium

Flock Raiser w/separate container of Oyster Shells work for me. Start chicks off on the smallest back of Chick Starter for the first month then switch to FR. The extra calcium in Layer isn't healthy for chicks nor Roos, from what I've read, causes kidney issues.

Yep look for an all flock or flock raiser and give oyster shells on the side for the laying hens.

I agree with the other posts. I also have used Game Bird feed. It's higher in protein which is good for the youngsters.
