Sure feel like this is a basic question but I can't seem to search for the right thing. I have 25 fillers coming with 50 Jumbo Cornish Cross. I have processed roosters for meat before but they were raised with layers on chick starter and layer feed. I was planning on getting a 23%-26% protein feed for the Cornish to start on and then 20% while they are in the tractor. Is this high amount of protein going to cause growth problems for the fillers? I could sort them out and put them on chick starter but if it's unnecessary work I won't. Additionally, we have the meat birds on a 12 on, 12 off schedule. Is this going to make a difference/be a bad idea for the fillers since they already need longer time to grow?
Thanks in advance!
