Feeding ducks chicken food

If you want to get even more interactive with your ducks and chickens, growing sprouts or something like wheat grass for them can help supplement what they eat also.    You can also try fermented feed.

Some people who do one or both of these regularly say that they have reduced their feed costs since the birds also eat these other type of dishes on their menu.

This is so true. I can go through a 50 lb bag of layer feed in a week. I bulk buy hard red wheat berries, soak a few scoops for 12-24 hours, and feed 2/3 soaked wheat and 1/3 layer feed, and that set-up has been working great.

Very interested in these methods! Has anyone done this? Any advice for starters? Is there a thread specific to this?
