I treated my chickens with Sulfadimethoxine and was told not to eat the eggs for five days after treatment. I was wondering if I can't eat them can I feed treated eggs back to the chickens? Would a second time through dilute the medicine enough or would the eggs still be considered to have medicine in them?

I'm not sure if this is the right area to post this. If not, please fell free to move it.

No expert---but I would think that would be defeating the purpose. You would have to wait even longer, because the chicken would "re-medicate" itself. I would simply throw the eggs away.

Thanks for the input.
