What you suggest for my Buff Orpingtons to munch on ( Table Scraps) along with their grain to make the best laying eggs?

Also, I have heard about a watering system that involves a 5 gallon bucket that has a connector like the ones they have on the Bird Feeders~ Does anyone have and idea where to find the plans??

Thanks ~ Rayma

I dont think I can answer about feeding for better eggs, but heres the waterer you are thinking of:

a good variety is great for your hens. If you have table scraps to give that's great!! Lots of greens and fresh water and a good amount of room and you'll get the best eggs your hens can give. As for 5 gallons... not sure. I don't keep that much water out at a time b/c I want it to be fresh.... depends on the number of hens you have.

Lots of fresh grass, bugs, and sunshine will provide lots of delicious eggs. : )

My birds get fermented whole grains, fodder, scraps, herbs and all sorts of things.

Our girls get quality feed, a small amount of scratch and sunflower seeds.... yogurt once or twice a week..... They seem to like it all! And an endless supply of fresh water....

Thanks Everyone this really helps,
