Feeding hops

Today Hubby and I went to the beer and wine making store and bought hop rhizomes. Actually we went nuts and bought 11 different kinds! The plan is to make beer but I read an article on feeding hops to chickens and there has been research done that there is a good chance hops can be used as a alternative to antibiotics.

Does anyone feed their flock hops?
Do you think it has these great benefits??

I grow 4 types of hops as I also brew beer at home. I did not know about hops and antibiotic properties though. I am going to read that article...thanks for the link!!
