Feeding information-how much, and where can i buy some!

Hello everyone, i bought some day old chicks about two months ago from Ideal poultry hatchery. They are to be two months old and noticed that the feed is disapearing at a fast rate. Last month i bought some feed from Tractor supply Co. I am going to start estimating how much feed i am going to spend a month on my chickens and ducks.

i have 13 chickens-2 white rocks, 2 red sex links, 3 golden sex links, 3 cornish crosses( they are like pets

) and three Easter egger chicks( two of which are going to be sold this month hopefully) and 2 pekin ducks(female and male)

1.If anyone can tell me what would be the estimated amount of feed in pounds that i should give to my chickens would be great...( i buy the dumor brand, i dont want anything medicated)
2.And what would be the estimated cost per month would be great as well.

3.I am also thinking of maybe buying feed wholsale. might anyone know where i can buy feed at whole price-more feed for less money?

Hi, at the start chicks and pullets will consume more feed than when they became 20 weeks or older while they are building thier bodies, Buying feed in bulk is good only if you have hundrets of birds, think about storing it!!!!
seconed, now your birds are eating starter grower only till they are 18 weeks old so another 6 weeks you need to give them laying mesh so I really don't thikn you can save on feed at this moment, because when you buy in bulk quantities you have to buy by ton.

That's what I think.
and to buy bulk feed you can buy directly from feed mills.

From what I have read here, the cornish x will be the big eaters. Since they are bred to grow fast, they eat a lot. One post I read said to not feed them all they want, but to portion it out so that they can keep up with their growth.

That said, if you are growing them to eat, let them have all they want. If you want them for pets, you need to do a search on how to meter out their food.

I don't know enough about the cornish x to tell you what to do. and it depends on the end use of the chicks.
