Are 2 of my 9 hens missing something in their diet or is it genetic?

I have 2 brown egg layers (red sex links) that seem to always have floating eggs. I tell my customers to ALWAYS float eggs to make sure they are fine, whether they are store bought or farm fresh.

So is there something that I can do to remedy this issue??? These are not always older eggs, they can be just a week old and they will sometimes float. What is wrong?????

Loss of moisture would make the eggs light enough to float. Are you storing them in a dry place? Refrigerators usually have a lower humidity then the house. Properly handled eggs that a are a week old and float, aren't necessarily bad.

I store them on the counter for a week (I collect over the week, Sunday to Saturday) and then wash on Saturday evening or Sunday morning and put in fridge. Most people that I sell to don't want dirty eggs and they want them refrigerated, so...

yeah!

But it is ONLY my brown eggs. I usually don't have an issue with my white or EE Eggs or our duck eggs. That is why I thought maybe the 2 were lacking something or it is something in the gene? I think the eggs in question this time were at least 1.5 to 2 weeks old. I don't know the date on the carton.
