Feeding leftovers...turkey

I could not decide what to do with the turkey carcass. So, I dumped it out on a nice flat cement area I usually feed the free ranging chickens. They acted like it was going to jump up and attack them. Finally one was brave enough to peck at it. 6 hours latter nothing left but a few very bare bones. I was surprised at how much they devoured.

Yesterday evening DH and I were eating fried chicken on the deck while the girls free ranged in the backyard. We were putting bones and such on a plate on a low side table and one of the girls came up and grabbed a large bone and ran off with it. Then they all started helping themselves to the bone pile. Stripped 'em down.

but mine have leftover meatballs. shhhhh.
