Feeding Meat Birds

Question.... has anyone ever fed their Cornish Cross Meaties eggs as an extra source of vitamins and protein? My laying hens make more than my family uses and I was wondering if I could recycle them into my meat birds? Not as a replacment for grain, just as an extra energy boost. Cook em' up and serve!

You certainly can feed eggs to them. They're very nutritious. It won't be a protein boost though since eggs are about 13% protein.

Thanks. I am hoping to enrich their diet a bit with the eggs and some greens. But since my chicks come at the end of next week and there is still snow on the ground here, pasture is not available yet. How about yogurt? Probiotics, protein? Can you give it to young chicks?
